Gnomes are things too!
The Gnomes created for the Internet of Things (IoT) in the Park project are featured on the front cover of this year’s Bartlett Review. Whilst these objects might seem a little quirky for an academic project they are helping researchers engage in discussions with users around the visibility of Iota networks and services. The first versions are fitted with Bluetooth Beacons and when deployed in the park willallow researchers to ask questions such as how are users able to understand the layer of code which augments our word? Do users understand the often transactional nature of data provision ? How does this affect their willingness to adopt such services?
