PETRAS IoT Hub is Growing
Richard Milton is a Research Associate in CASA working on the PETRAS IoT in the Park project. A computer scientist and software engineer, he first joined CASA in 2005 from UCL Computer Science. Prior to this, he worked for the UK Meteorological Office developing real-time weather display systems, before moving to the computer games company, Criterion Software. He is the developer behind the MapTube website for sharing maps online. Current interests include artificial intelligence and data mining, real-time city data, transport systems, environmental data and urban modelling. In his spare time, he also runs workshops on building and flying drones.
His role in the PETRAS IoT in the Park project is to develop the hardware and software behind the Gnomes chat bots which we will use to engage with the general public and demonstrate the technology behind IoT devices in a transparent way.
