Research Fellow (RAII) vacancy – Network Security for 5G
The Institute for Communication Systems (ICS), the home for the 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC) at the University of Surrey, is the world’s first research institute dedicated to the next generation of mobile network technology and has attracted over £70M of support to date.
ICS is seeking to recruit one full time research fellow (RAII) to work on network security research on 5G and to test the concepts in a real wide-area testbed. The applicant will need to be an experienced post-doctorate researcher ready to lead a security focused research across the work areas established in 5GIC as well as those research programmes in ICS which is home of 5GIC.
The successful candidate will work with 5GIC industrial partners, GCHQ and Other ACE Universities as well as Internal research team on 5G network architecture. The post is initially for 3 years and the post holder has the option of becoming a full academic at the end of this period subject to a ratification panel.
